DeepDive Meeting 2024 Pisa, Italy
Digital innovations around the operating room
The OTdigital DeepDive Meeting in Pisa, Italy, on June 15th 2024, had been a great opportunity to for discussions, expert exchange and also many practical experiences for “Digital innovations around the operating room”.
This new format of the OTdigital community was based on a great mix of interactive presentation sessions with international experts and hands-on testing of innovative products in this field.
Focus topics were among others experiences and challenges of the use of robots in orthopaedic surgery, simulation and surgical education as well as augmented reality experiences together with an lively expert panel discussion.
With many practical sessions, the participants were offered great opportunities to try out existing products and tools for the orthopaedic OR, but also to get interesting background information from engineers and company representatives.

We are immensely grateful as we reflect on the great success of the 2nd Congress for Digitalisation in Orthopaedics and Traumatology in Berlin on 24th-25th November 2023.
OTdigital again proved to be a dynamic platform, fostering international, interdisciplinary clinical and scientific collaboration while simultaneously promoting economic innovation. In 2023, we were thrilled to host up to 200 experts and participants from over 19 countries, including India, the USA, and South Africa, in an interactive hybrid format.
Our mission at OTdigital is to promote a clinically oriented and scientifically grounded community dedicated to advancing digitalisation in the everyday practice of orthopaedics and traumatology.

Congress 2022 Berlin, Germany
The inaugural hybrid OTdigital congress
We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the inaugural OTdigital congress, held on December 2nd-3rd 2022, in Berlin, Germany.
This first-ever European hybrid congress highlighted the growing significance of digitalisation in orthopaedics and traumatology. By facilitating an international and interdisciplinary dialogue, we explored the latest trends, opportunities, and challenges in our field from medical, scientific, and economic perspectives.
Over the course of the event, participants engaged in keynotes, panel discussions, and interactive sessions led by an renowned international faculty. Topics included mHealth innovations, AI and big data applications, mixed reality training, telemedicine, digital documentation, advancements in digital ORs, and the integration of smart implants.
We were especially excited about the work of young scientists through digital poster presentations and provided a platform for innovative start-ups to pitch their groundbreaking ideas.
